Principales novedades en la Ley de Enjuiciamiento Criminal tras la reforma operada mediante la Ley Orgánica 13/2015 y la Ley 41/2015

Tras el fallido intento de aprobar en esta legislatura un nuevo código procesal penal que sustituiría a la decimonónica y vigente Ley de Enjuiciamiento Criminal, el Congreso ha aprobado el pasado 5 de octubre dos normas (una con rango de ley orgánica y otra, de ley ordinaria) que modifican la norma rituaria penal, renunciando a aprobar algunas de las medidas más revolucionarias que fueron anunciadas en el 2013, como la desaparición de los jueces de instrucción para encomendar la investigación de las causas penales al ministerio fiscal.No obstante ser una reforma de alcance mucho más limitado que el texto de la propuesta de código procesal que manejó el Ministerio de Justicia, la reforma introduce algunas y relevantes medidas por su alcance jurídico-sustantivo y práctico.
