Nueva normativa europea sobre desplazamiento de trabajadores

La nueva Directiva 2018/957, de 28 de junio del 2018 (DOUE, de 9 de julio), modifica la Directiva 96/71/CE sobre el desplazamiento de trabajadores efectuado en el marco de una prestación de servicios. Tras veinte años de vigencia, se impone actualizar el equilibrio entre la necesidad de fomentar la libre prestación de los servicios y la obligación de proteger los derechos de los trabajadores desplazados. Entre los objetivos prioritarios de la nueva norma se encuentran garantizar las reglas de remuneración, proteger las condiciones laborales y de seguridad y salud de los trabajadores, regularizar la subcontratación, vigilar o controlar las situaciones de fraude y abuso trasnacional y fomentar la cooperación e interactuación administrativa y sancionadora entre los Estados miembros.
