El reconocimiento legal de la responsabilidad penal de las personas jurídicas ha iniciado en España una nueva etapa que, aunque tardía frente al desenvolvimiento de la materia en el orden internacional, evoluciona a pasos agigantados.

En esta evolución destaca la relevancia que ha ido adquiriendo – más aún tras las recientes Sentencias del Tribunal Supremo – la implantación de sistemas de compliance con la finalidad de evitar o al menos minimizar las consecuencias de la eventual comisión del tipo delicitivo y con ello de la responsabilidad penal subsiguiente.
