Santiago is a partner in the Banking and Finance practice at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He has extensive experience in banking, structured finance, project finance, corporate acquisitions and derivatives transactions, capital markets, regulation of financial institutions and securities markets (including financial services providers) and insurance.He holds a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. He holds an LLM in Finance and Banking Law from Fordham University in New York.

Santiago has been highlighted as a Notable Practitioner in recent years by IFLR 1000 for his work and extensive experience in the area of Banking and Capital Markets. In addition, he is also recognised in the prestigious Legal 500 legal directory as one of the leading practitioners in the areas of Capital Markets: Debt, Capital Markets: Equity and Insurance.
