Miguel Ángel Melero

Miguel Ángel is counsel in the Corporate and M&A practice at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, debt issues, company law, corporate governance and capital markets. Miguel Ángel has a broad experience advising local and multinational companies, having served as secretary to the board of directors, both in listed and privately held companies, in several regulated and non-regulated industry sectors (real estate and construction, industrial, renewable energy, Insurance). He has particular expertise regarding transactions in the real estate arena and in regulated sectors (insurance, telecommunications and energy), as well as in the implementation of compliance and ESG programs.

He completed a post-graduate degree in Artificial Intelligence applied to business at MBIT DATA School and a post-graduate in Law Firm Management from the IESE Business School.

He has lectured at various Spanish and foreign universities and has been a frequent speaker in conferences at business schools and professional and business associations (IE University, Autonomous University of Madrid, ESADE Law School, ISDE Law Business School, Columbia University, American Bar Association, iiR, APD, Family Business Association).
