Diego Martín-Abril
Diego is a counsel in the Tax practice at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.
He specialises in general tax law and international taxation.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Diego was Director General of Taxation at the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations. He is a State Tax Inspector, Customs and Excise Inspector and State Comptroller and Auditor on voluntary leave of absence. In addition, he has held the following positions: Chief Inspector in the Central Delegation of Large Taxpayers of the AEAT, Inspector Coordinator in the National Fraud Investigation Office, Deputy Director General of Tax Techniques of the Tax Management Department, Coordinator of the International Taxation Area of the Tax Management Department of the AEAT and Coordinator of the Central Information Centre of Public Companies.
He has also participated as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on taxation. He is the author of several publications on tax matters, especially those related to international taxation.
He is also a member of the Advisory or Editorial Board of the following publications: CEF Auditing and Taxation, Aranzadi’s International Taxation and AEDAF Taxation Management Magazine.
