Gómez-Acebo & Pombo leads international growth among large Spanish law firms in 2024 | Cinco Días

The Spanish legal profession continues to consolidate its international expansion, with Gómez-Acebo & Pombo standing out as the firm with the highest percentage growth abroad, registering a 28% increase in 2024 thanks to its offices in Lisbon, London and Latin America.

In 2024, the leading Spanish law firms have experienced solid growth abroad, with an overall increase in turnover of 12.13% compared to the previous year, reaching a total of €231 million. Within this group, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has stood out notably with a 28% growth in its international revenues, reaching 11.53 million euros, which represents 11.51% of its global turnover.

This growth has been mainly driven by the performance of its offices in Lisbon and London, which have experienced increases of over 25%. In addition, the firm’s expansion in Latin America has been key, with a notable increase of 40%, consolidating the firm’s strategy in this region.

Since 2019, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has increased its international turnover by 39.05%, from €8.29 million to €11.53 million in 2024. This growth has been underpinned by the strengthening of key areas such as corporate, litigation, banking and public. In addition, the firm has increased its international staff by 24.39%, from 41 to 51 revenue-generating lawyers, reflecting a consolidation of its global presence.
