She regularly advises on share and asset deals, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, capital markets matters and general corporate governance, representing national and international clients across a wide range of industries.

She is specialised in advising management companies, funds, family offices and other investors on corporate transactions and investment structures. She has solid experience guiding clients through the full lifecycle of their investments, from formation and regulatory structuring to capital deployment, ongoing governance, investor relations and investment and divestment processes. She also advises on alternative regulated financing structures, including crowdfunding platforms.

In 2018 she worked as a foreign associate in the London office of the US law firm Shearman & Sterling.

She is a specialist in tax matters. Ana Paula is member of the Portuguese Fiscal Association (AFP) and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

She holds a Law degree from University of Lisbon (Portugal) and two post graduations in Management and Taxation from the Institute of Higher Financial and Tax Studies (Atlântico Business School) and in Tax Law – “The New Accounting System (SNC) and the Corporate Income Tax Code”, from IDEFF/ University of Lisbon.

Ana Paula regularly contributes to specialised legal publications, such as the book Investment Funds, from Thomson Reuters.

Ana is senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration practice at Gómez- Acebo & Pombo.

She is a highly experienced lawyer, with 30 years of experience, with specialisation in employment litigation and civil litigation. She is member of the Board of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2011 in Lisbon.
