Ángel is a member of the Academic Counsel at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He specializes in commercial law, industrial and intellectual property, and competition law.

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna (Italy). He is a Professor of Commercial Law. He completed research at the Max Planck – Munich (Germany) and at the Max Planck – Hamburg (Germany). Throughout his professional career, Ángel has been Director of the Commercial and Labour Law department, Secretary of the Institute of Industrial Law, and Director of the European Studies and Documentation Center at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). He has been the Director of the journal Actas de Derecho Industrial y Derecho de Autor. He is Arbitratir of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and has acted as expert of Autocontrol and the Superior Council of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation for resolution of conflicts regarding “.es” domain names.

He collaborates with Gómez-Acebo & Pombo on a regular basis.

Ángel is a member of the Academic Counsel at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He is a member of various professional bodies and associations such as the International Research Group, the Advisory Group to the European Civil Code Study Committee, the Madrid Bar Association, and the Legal Research and Development Advisory Group to the Ministry of Research and Technology. He is also the Director of the Centre for Consumer Studies (CESCO).

He holds a degree in Law and a PhD in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He was also awarded a post-doctorate scholarship at the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg. He served as Vice-Chancellor of Institutional Relations and Chair of Civil Law and Director of the Consumer Studies Centre at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. Additionally, he was a professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Castilla- La Mancha.

As the Executive Secretary of Cuadernos Civitas de Jurisprudencia Civil and a member of the editorial board of Aranzadi Civil, Ángel is also the author of numerous publications and books, such as: Comentario a la Ley de Contratos de Crédito Inmobiliario (2019), Construyendo contratos. Agustín is a member of the Academic Counsel in Bilbao at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He is a specialist in administrative law and, in particular, in European Union law and in environmental law and administrative jurisdiction. He has also participated directly and actively in the elaboration of general provisions (draft laws, foral rules, decrees …).

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Deusto. LLM in European Legal Studies from the University of Exeter (UK). He obtained a Ph.D. in Law (Doctor) from the University of Exeter. He is currently Professor of Administrative Law at the University of the Basque Country – Euskal Herriko Univertsitatea.

He has taught environmental law courses at the universities of Montreal, Seville, Autonomous University of Madrid, Pompeu Fabra University and International University of Andalusia.

Agustín, is the author of 12 monographs, co-author of 6 books and has published more than 45 articles and 60 comments to judgments in matters of general and environmental administrative law, such as European Biodiversity Law (2020), Topics of Administrative Law I and II (2019), Inspections in EU law (2008); The protection of the home (2007); Inspections and public administrations (2006); The Arbitration Commission of the Basque Country (2003); Administrative Procedure and Community Law: (2002); Protected Areas (1999); Protection of Flora and Fauna Species in European Community Law: Directives 79/409 and 92/43 (1997); Legal Framework of the Environmental Impact Assessment Procedure: European Community and State law (1994).

He is also a current survey correspondent for Environmental Liability published by Lawtext (Oxford) and a member of the editorial board of Water Law and the Basque Journal of Public Administration.

He collaborates Gómez-Acebo & Pombo since 2007.
