G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has partnered with Mergermarket to produce the report \u201cIberia in the Spotlight: Iberian M&A and PE Activity in 2025\u201d, which assesses Iberian M&A activity in 2025 and explores where it may be heading in the year ahead.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
The report highlights that Iberian dealmaking proved more resilient than the rest of the EU, with 1,631 M&A transactions recorded in Spain and Portugal during 2025, and total deal value rising to \u20ac85.7bn (a 55% increase year-on-year).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the most active sectors, TMT led the market in both volume and value, while private equity increased its presence across transactions, reaching 381 deals valued at \u20ac49.6bn during 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
