G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo advised IVC Evidencia, world leader in veterinary care, on the acquisition of ANIMED – Hospital Veterin\u00e1rio de Gondomar, consolidating its presence in the northern region of Portugal.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The British-Swedish veterinary group, present in Portugal since 2021, continues to expand across the country and currently has 30 veterinary care centres in mainland Portugal and in the Madeira Island. The G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo team has been advising the group on this expansion project in Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANIMED is the second veterinary hospital to be acquired by IVC Evidensia in Porto, followed by Hospital Veterin\u00e1rio da P\u00f3voa in P\u00f3voa de Varzim, which joined the group in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team leading the transaction was composed of Mafalda Barreto, head of the Corporate and M&A, and lawyers Leonor Rocha and Jo\u00e3o Bento Cardoso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
