G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the Synlab Group, a leader in medical diagnostic services and specialized testing in Europe, on the sale of Synlab Spain to Eurofins Scientific (EUFI.PA).<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
This divestment is part of SYNLAB\u2019s strategy to optimize its network and focus on attractive, strategically important markets with sustainable development potential for the Group. In 2023, the Spanish business contributed approximately \u20ac140m to the Group’s revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transaction was internally coordinated by Dr. Peter Macheiner, Director of M&A and Procurement, and Dr. Fabian Walla, General Counsel and CCO of Synlab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The G\u00f3mez-Acebo & Pombo team was coordinated by Pablo Fern\u00e1ndez Cortijo and Diana Linage; and comprised Samara Schaar, Monica Ojeda, Guillermo Men\u00e9ndez and Gonzalo del Saz, all of them from Corporate; Miguel Troncoso and Laura Lence, from Competition and EU Law; Iv\u00e1n Escribano, from Tax; Ignacio del Fraile and Jes\u00fas Tallos Del R\u00edo from Labour; Isabel Band\u00edn, Iratze Arrigain and Isabela Crespo, from Intellectual Property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
