GA_P advises Triodos Bank on the first self-consumption project finance for Younergy

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advises Triodos Bank on the first self-consumption project finance for Younergy, which finances projects in the photovoltaic market. Triodos Bank, a recurring client of the firm, is a European benchmark in ethical banking.
The operation will finance the operation of photovoltaic installations for self-consumption by companies in Spain, through 10 new construction installations financed with long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).
The GA_P team was formed by: Verónica Romaní, partner of the Banking area, Ignacio Soria, associate of the Public Law area and Anella Corres, associate of the Banking area.

Professional Purchasers of Non-Performing Credit: the new Law is ahead
The content of the Directive on credit servicers and credit purchasers, only of non-performing credit (NPC), has been transposed into Spanish law more than a year late. Directive (EU) 2023/2413: the designation of ‘renewables acceleration areas’ in which projects are exempted from an environmental impact assessment
The new Renewable Energy Directive requires Member States to approve plans designating ‘ renewables acceleration areas’. The plans will be subject to strategic environmental assessment, but projects in these areas will be exempted from environmental impact assessment.
